Born on the roads less travelled.

Indie Bucketlist began with three people, a shared obsession with India, and a simple belief: the best experiences don’t come in packages. They come from getting lost in the right direction.

Three dreamers. One endless map.

It started the way most good things do with curiosity and too many open browser tabs. Three of us, spread across cities, began virtually wandering through India’s most overlooked corners. One road at a time. One experience at a time. We weren’t looking for famous places. We were chasing what locals know and guidebooks skip.

The more we explored through conversations with farmers, festival-goers, craftspeople, and innkeepers the more we realised: India isn’t one destination. It’s a thousand different worlds waiting to be discovered. And most travellers never find them.

We didn’t want to plan trips. We wanted to design experiences that would stay with people long after they came home.

So we built Indie Bucketlist not as a travel company, but as a movement. A home for everyone who wants to experience the real India, not just photograph it.

Our philosophy

We believe great travel is less about where you go and more about how deeply you arrive. Every journey we design is rooted in these convictions:

Experiences first

Destination comes second. The feeling you carry home comes first.

Explore like a local

Not a tourist with a checklist, but a guest who’s genuinely curious.

Every path is personal

No two travellers are the same. No two itineraries should be either.

Slow down to see more

The best stories happen when you’re not rushing to the next stop.

The three S on the trail

We’re not travel agents. We’re travellers who became obsessed with planning the kind of trips we couldn’t find anywhere else.

Smiral

Some people collect passport stamps. Smiral collects colours, textures, little details, and moments most people walk past without noticing. As a designer, she sees travel like a canvas. The peeling blue door in a forgotten village, the hand-painted sign outside a family-run café and the way the evening light falls on a mountain road. She reminds us that beauty isn’t always found in famous places. Sometimes, it’s hidden in the smallest details, waiting for someone to truly see them.

Shabari

A storyteller by instinct, Shabari believes the soul of a destination can never be found in guidebooks. While maps point the way and guidebooks list the highlights, it’s the people, traditions, and everyday moments that leave the deepest impression. She collects the stories that bring them to life, turning every journey into something travellers carry home long after the souvenirs are forgotten.

Sweety

Sweety is the heart behind every itinerary, thoughtfully bringing together experiences that simply belong together. From hidden stays and local flavours to meaningful encounters and quiet moments, she pieces together journeys that go beyond sightseeing, helping travellers experience India the way it was always meant to be – slowly, deeply, and wholeheartedly.

Three different perspectives. One shared belief: the most unforgettable way to experience India is to slow down, connect deeply, and travel with intention.

We don't sell packages. We design journeys.

  • Every itinerary is built around you, your pace, your interests, your idea of a perfect day.
  • We go beyond the obvious, to places that don’t trend on Instagram but stay with you forever.
  • We connect you with local communities, craftspeople, and storytellers, not just sights.
  • We believe in slow travel because India deserves more than a checked-off list.
  • No fixed packages. No cookie-cutter tours. Just experiences handcrafted for you.
